Quick Links (Other Links)
Here are, hopefully, useful links to people and places on the Internet of interest to our photographers.

Keep up-to-date on various goings-on. Many of the club officers and some key members have write access to the Google Calendar. If you have a suggestion for an event, even if it's an FYI kind of thing, let someone know. We'll get it added.
We use Yahoo Groups as a list server to keep members aware of what's going on. Each December, we purge the list of names there and add only paid-up members' email addresses.
We often get mail from a variety of sources announcing things of interest to club members. The policy has been that it's at the discretion of our web guru as to what gets through and posted here.
Our Technical Group, now known as the Digital Group, has a Wiki. We created this on-the-fly during one of our technical sessions and it more or less stuck. Anyone can join and you can update the Wiki. If you only want to access the Discussion Forum, click here.
Worcestershire England's Camera Club has been our sister club for a number of years and we have a nice relationship with them. We even started a photo critique wiki. Check it out here.
Many of our members are also associated with this fine group. The WPC meetings are like a photographic social hour where anything can be discussed in a safe and informal setting. There are no competitions. There are, however, critiques and field trips available. They even have a wiki of their own!
We have several clubs that, each year, compete head-to-head using an assigned list of topics. It's a lot of fun and this site has all the details.
This is the mothership of camera clubs in America.
New England Camera Club Council - think of this as the New England mothership. It's where all the clubs like our own roll up. What's really nice is the yearly camera college they sponsor in Amherst at UMASS.
If we've done our job right, you can find the day and room for our Technical Sessions, now known as the Digital Group Meetings. We can't schedule a recurring evening for an entire year. It's Library policy that events can only be scheduled 30 days in advance. So, sometimes we don't get our first choice. It's best to check here if you're not sure. Of course, our home page should have this information as well.
Created by Bob Singer and his son David, largely for camera club members throughout the area.
A while back, we had tried to created web pages for each state in our area with information about great places to photograph. The only real success we had was with the "tripod holes" of Vermont. This guide will get you there. The WPC Group has it's own wiki for this and is seeing some success with it. |
